Celestial Cosmetics - Reaper Crew

Press Sample

Any Sons of Anarchy fans out there? I know I'm not alone! I started watching the series not too long ago and binged watched all the episodes on Netflix in about a month. I fell for Jax even though Charlie Hunnam's American accent is terrible. He's not my typical type, but his attitude and loyalty roped me in.

Whether you're an SoA fan or not, you need to see all the pictures and review of this polish called Reaper Crew from the Australian indie Celestial Cosmetics

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - Winter Collection

Press Sample

I told you I'd have a big Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer collection up soon! Tonight, I'm here to deliver. This collection contains five polishes plus a limited edition holographic polish available only to those of you who purchase the whole collection. I love little extras like that.

Julie, the creator, wanted this collection to be just icy enough to be wintery. I think she nailed it. (No pun intended.) Check out all the good stuff after the cut! And don't forget to tell me your favorites!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - December Duo: Untrodden Snow & Electric Icicle

Press Sample

Winter's here and I have a great limited edition duo from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer! Are you tired of all the Christmasy polishes yet? Need something that isn't red, green, and gold? This duo is where it's at. These pair perfectly together. Julie, the brains behind the operation, really hit it out of the park with these.

This December Duo will be available on January 1st, 2014. For more pictures and lots of details, don't miss out on the rest of the post under the cut...

Chaos & Crocodiles - Pi R Squared

Chaos & Crocodiles is a new to me indie. I've seen others post about the brand, but I never really cared for them. I definitely judge a book by its cover; I didn't like the old bottles. C&C recently changed over to a square bottle with a sleeker and cuter label. I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS LOOK. I was lucky enough to score two polishes during the last restock. I'm usually terrible with them.

If you want to see more of this perfect circle glitter topper, stay tuned! It's a stunner.

Glam Polish - Tempestarii and Book of Shadows

Press Sample

Happy Holidays! I hope everyone had a great day with family and friends. Mine was great, but I'm so glad it's over. I can get back on track and have a normal schedule now.  I've been working almost nonstop and definitely need some me time soon.

I love these two Glam Polishes! These are part of the Cast A Spell collection. I swatched them early last week when I still had nice nails to show off. (I'm a bit embarrassed by how short they are right now. You'll all get to see them soon enough.)

Glam Polish - Iridessa and Vidia

Press Sample

Glam Polish, an awesome Australian brand, is slowly taking over my indie collection. I'm completely okay with that! Today I have two shades from the Pixie Hollow collection to share with you. This collection is full of bright neons that are perfect to offset the snowy weather blues. Plus, you should keep in mind that it's not winter down under.

Don't miss out on the full review and lots of great images under the cut!

Rica - Nirvana

Press Sample

Let's get back to our regularly scheduled program, shall we? I have a great holographic polish to share with you! I've worn this twice since a I received about two weeks ago. I would have shared pictures the first time around, but the weather and work is doing a number on my hands. I had a nasty little cut on my middle finger; it's good as new now.

If you're a fan of purples, holographics, and blue flashes, you need to see this Rica polish. I shared a video of this polish on my Instagram last week, and today I have lots of pictures. Don't miss out on the full review after the jump!

Bad News - I was Plagiarized

Hey, babes! I have some bad news to share with all of you. Last night while checking my blog traffic sources, I found out that I was plagiarized. I was shocked! At first, I was stunned. My blog doesn't have a large following and I'm incredibly grateful to have each and every one of you supporting me. I'm not exactly sure how to go about this because I never thought I'd have to deal with this, but here it goes!

The post that was stolen can be found here: Tillie Polish - Wonderland Collection plus Promo Code.
The post is question has been deleted by the blogger Bedizzle. (The blog is deleted now.)

First, I came across this in my traffic sources. I thought it was a bit strange to find a line from one of my posts in my sources.

I copied the line "cozy up to me is a beautiful cool nude with a super creamy formula" and entered it into Google. I then found these results.

Well, that's a little odd, isn't it? I thought it might just be a coincidence. Nope. Not at all. Bedizzle stole nearly all of the text from my post! She took my intro talking about MY feelings this time of year, my description and review for Cozy Up To Me and Tillie, and my blurb about the promo code for 15% off. Here are screenshots that I took from my phone last night. They're easier to read than the screenshots from my laptop. Keep in mind that my original post is from December 6th while hers was from the 10th.

Click on me to make me bigger!

Bedizzle also took my descriptions and used them on Instagram. Keep in mind that she has over 114K followers on Instagram. Yes, over 114K followers. Insane, right?

All of that sounds pretty familiar, doesn't it? This is not okay. She stole my words, my hard work, and my personal thoughts. Her review was NOT honest; it was MINE. Plagiarizing can never be justified.

I emailed Tillie Polish first and then fowarded the message to Bedizzle. She responded shortly after. (I'm still waiting to hear back from Tillie. It's not their fault at all. They're just an innocent bystander in this and I hate that this happened with their product in the post. They're such great ladies!) I haven't responded to Bedizzle again because I'm SO furious right now. I'm sharing the email because her email address was on her PUBLIC blog that has been removed.

A friend of mine sent her a KIK message to ask her about it before I received the email response. Her response made me roll my eyes. It really isn't acceptable. If she was so tired, she could have waited to post the review the next day. Or, just post the pictures and add in the text the next day. Is it really that hard?

I'm not sure about you, but that excuse never would have worked in college and it surely isn't going to work with me. Bedizzle posted an apology on Instagram last night, but I was sleeping. A friend was nice enough to grab these screenshots for me. Bedizzle deleted the post and made her account private. (Which doesn't really do anything for a user with 114K followers.) Here's the apology and some comments (the usernames have been blocked out) from her followers. I'm still in shock that some people thought it was okay!

I wasn't the only one she stole written material from. I have screenshots of a few other instances, but it's not my place to post about them here. I'll leave that to the other bloggers. Unfortunately, if you're a fellow blogger, you won't be able to tell if she's stolen anything from you as she's deleted her entire blog. I think that speaks pretty loudly about this issue. Also, how can anyone dismiss this and think it's okay?

I put a lot of work into this blog. I try to bring you worthwhile content that is put together in a concise, easy to read, and enjoyable format. Like I said before, I never thought this would happen to me. A private apology and a halfhearted and short-lived post on a private Instagram account  is not enough. This needs to be shared so that others know about it. If you're a company who is looking for someone to swatch or review for you, please think twice before using someone who would blatantly take the thoughts of someone else and play them off as their own. There are plenty of hard working and honest bloggers out there. This is just one bad egg out of hundreds it not thousands of great bloggers like myself. (Just a shameless pat on the back!)

Feel free to share this post. I want all of her followers to know about this. There's absolutely no way to justify this.

I'll update this as I get more information. Please excuse any typos as I'm currently seeing red.

Edited to Add: December 18, 2013 11:20 AM EST

Bedizzle is still ignoring my emails. Yesterday afternoon, she deleted her Twitter account. (I have screenshots of that, too.) She also lost over 1,000 followers on Instagram and went from over 1,000 pictures down to about 700 before deleting her account. As of right now, she's in hiding. She was also featured on Nail It's website in October. I shared my post with them and her article has been removed until further notice. It's really great to see everyone stepping up and taking action to stop this.

I can't thank you all enough! I never thought I'd get such an overwhelming response of love and support. It's great to know that people from the nail polish community and beyond and come together and support such a small blog like mine. Yesterday was pretty turbulent, but I felt so much better as the day went on. So thank you to everyone who read, shared, or commented on this post, to all my new followers and fans on here, Facebook, and Instagram, and to all of you who reached out to me on email. I truly appreciate all of you!  You've been the silver lining in this otherwise stormy situation!

Tillie Polish - Wonderland Collection plus Promo Code

Press Sample

Hey babes! Sorry about being MIA for a bit. I haven't been myself lately. I'm not sure why, but this time of year always gets me. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer though. I've got some great polishes to share with you all.

The lovely ladies of Tillie Polish sent me three shades from their winter collection called Wonderland. I've got lots of pictures and a quick and easy nail art look under the cut. You don't want to miss out on this!

Glam Polish - Mermagic

Press Sample

I can't believe that I almost forgot to post this! I swatched this polish last week and fell in love. What's not to like about mermaids, circle glitter, and pastels? I layered this over a light and a dark base to show off the versatility. Don't miss out on all the details after the jump!

Lynnderella - Punkkin Pie

Hey, babes! I just wanted to do a quick post to share my Thanksgiving manicure. I went with something quick and easy since I'll be in the kitchen all day Wednesday and Thursday. I'm cooking a full dinner for 6 from scratch. Wednesday is all my prep work and desserts, plus I still need to run to the store for a few last minutes ingredients. Thanksgiving is so stressful because I have to do into Super Woman mode.

Don't miss out on all the deets under the cut!

SUPER BLACK Lacquer - Heather, Spanked, and Guilty

Press Sample

I don't know about you, but it's snowing like crazy here. I've never been a fan of weather like this. I am, however, a fan of holographic polish. Today, I have three new SUPER BLACK Lacquer holos to share with you. These all had a great formula. Plus, I wore Spanked for a few days and had great results. Don't miss out on the swatches and review after the cut!

Glam Polish - Maleficent

Glam Polish has really been killing it lately. This beauty is part of the A Touch of Magic trio. Maleficent is the self proclaimed "Mistress of Evil" but this polish is anything but evil. It's insanely beautiful! To check out all the details, an in action gif, a matte top coat, and a pug picture, head on over to everything under the cut.

SUPER BLACK Lacquer - 3rd Degree

Press Sample

Woo! Another new to me indie to share. This one is SUPER BLACK Lacquer. SUPER BLACK was started in 2012 by Natalie Dee. If you're not familiar with her comics, you might be new to the internet. I've been a fan of hers for years. As a fellow pug owner, I feel like we're connected on a different level. Pug owners are the best people.

To find out more about SUPER BLACK, click here. If you want to see more of this polish, check out my review under the cut.

Glam Polish - Frankenslime

Press Sample

Nothing's better than coming home from a long day at work to find a package on your doorstep. Today, I found three bottles of Glam Polish from Color4Nails! As soon as I opened the package, I couldn't wait to get them on my nails. I've been wearing a lot of purples lately, so I decided to try Frankenslime first. This polish is part of the Graveyard Ghouls Trio. While it was released for Halloween, it's easily an all the time just for the fun of it color.

Don't miss the full review and lots of pictures under the cut!

Philly Loves Lacquer - The Holo-Day on Broad Collection

Press Sample

Philly Loves Lacquer put together a fabulous winter collection based on the holidays in Philadelphia. Esther, the brains behind the brand, thought long and hard to put together The Holo-Day on Broad Collection filled with four holographics, three glitter toppers, and and one glitter crelly. All eight polishes are perfectly named; be sure to check out the inspiration behind all the polishes by clicking the links I'll have in each description. If you've never been to Philadelphia, this will totally take you there.

Coffee Shop Cutie - OOTD

Hey, babes! Here's my first unofficial official outfit of the day post! I'm still trying to figure out all the settings on my camera, and I'm waiting for my tripod to get here. I took these pictures the other night while I was waiting on the mister to get changed so we could leave. Don't mind my undecorated office. I'm a terrible procrastinator.

Anyway, I wore this little ditty to see City and Colour. I feel like I don't have enough chances to really take this dress out of my closet even though it's my favorite piece of clothing that I own. Don't judge the title of the post. I only used it because that's the style of the dress.

Check out all the outfit deets under the cut.

A England - Fated Prince

I just wanted to share this awesome polish with you before I get ready for tonight. (I'm going to see City and Colour.) I filed down my nails this afternoon because I wasn't feeling anything I put on them. Until this. I forgot that I had this polish and found it in the back of my Helmer. I bought it when it was first released, but can't remember wearing it. I was missing out!

Falling for Nail Art: Harvest

Happy daylight savings! I don't mind falling back an hour, but I'm not okay with how early sunset comes. It's depressing. When I started to do my nails this afternoon, I completely forgot it would be dark soon. I hate having to use artificial light, but I guess I'll have to get used to it. Winter's right around the corner.

I originally wanted to do a sponge gradient. Alas, my sponges are nowhere to be found. I think I've purchased at least 4 packs of them in the last few months. I don't know where they're going. To see what I actually came up with, check out the rest of the post under the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Halloween

Boo! It's time for Halloween. It all leads up to the 31st and then it's gone. Halloween being on a Thursday this year completely threw me off. Most people celebrated last weekend, but I was at work for a special event sale. I missed out on a few costume parties so I was pretty bummed. To make matters worse, I'll be at work tomorrow night instead of passing out candy to all the cuties. Boo.

For a quick and easy Halloween look, check out all the info after the jump.

Zoya Zenith Collection

Press Sample

I'm really excited to share the Zoya Zenith Collection today! As you can see, I swatched these last week before the terrible mishap that caused me to file down all my nails. This collection is pretty versatile and doesn't scream winter to me; these shades will easily work year round. I have lots of good stuff to share after the cut so don't miss you!

Falling for Nail Art: Other Realm

I'm cheating on my challenge. I had a really rough weekend at work. (You'll see why after I show off my green Halloween nails.) I'm beat and couldn't put a lot of effort into my nails. I wanted to do a purple to black holo gradient with some witches. Sounds awesome, huh? Well, that's not what you're going to see today. Sorry, folks! I'm a failure.

Here's what I did have the time/strength/inspiration to do tonight. Filing down your nails as much as I had to really takes a toll on your hands. I can't wait for them to grow out again.

Glam Polish - Pacman and Candyland

Press Sample

Glam Polish is an Australian indie polish available from US stockist Color4Nails. These are my first from the brand and I'm really excited to share them with all of you! Pacman and Candyland are part of the Fun & Game collection. These bright polishes are just what I needed after dreary October weather. It's been cold and rainy for over a week. This was just the pick me up I needed! For lots of pictures, check out the review under the cut.

Celestial Cosmetics - Jaqen H'ghar and Sapphires of Tarth

Product sent for review.

This is my last post for the Celestial Cosmetics and Color4Nails collaboration of the Seven Kingdoms collection. I wanted this to be my first one, but I had a terrible time trying to capture how beautiful these polishes really are. For some reason, duochromes are really hard to photograph.

If you didn't already know, Celestial Cosmetics, an Australian indie, has teamed up with Color4Nails for the Seven Kingdoms collection. This collection is inspired by Game of Thrones and contains duochromes, holographics, and thermals.

Falling for Nail Art: Bump In The Night

I did my Bump In The Night nails two nights ago and almost posted them early because I'm so in love with them! For this look, I decided to go with a mixed manicure including a texture, some stamping, a little glitter, and nail gem. It's perfect for Halloween, or any time if you really like bats! You could most definitely change this up to suit your own style.

Check out all the details after the cut! You don't want to miss out on this one.

Falling for Nail Art: Creepy Crawlers

I don't know about you, but I loved making Creeper Crawlers when I was a child. My dad and I were all about it. I can't tell you how many times I burned myself on that stupid oven. Get me near a real bug and I'll freak out! Today's look is a little subdued. I did some simple nail art with a Bundle Monster stamping plate. Check out all the details after the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Sweet Treats

Good morning, ghouls! Halloween is just around the corner. I absolutely love the holiday. I picked Sweet Treats as the inspiration for challenge because of all the great candies, cookies, and whatnot this time of year. I decided to do one of my favorite treats: CUPCAKES! I'm always baking something in my apple green Kitchen Aid mixer named Sir Mix-A-Lot. (Lame name, huh?)

Check out all the details after the cut!

Celestial Cosmetics - Jelly Thermal Polish

Product sent for review.

Celestial Cosmetics, an Australian indie, has teamed up with Color4Nails for the Seven Kingdoms collection. There are nine polishes in total and I'll be sharing five of them with you over the next few posts.

The Seven Kingdoms collection is inspired by Game of Thrones and contains duochromes, holographics, and thermals. This is the 2nd of three posts. For this post, I'll be sharing two of the jelly thermals: High Garden and A Lannister Always Pays His Debt. If you like these, they're currently available for purchase so don't delay!  Check out all the details after the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Cloudy Skies

I'm trying to catch up on the nail art challenge. I absolutely hate that I'm behind, but life gets in the way. The weather here has been really gloomy. Imagine that! Cloudy skies, lots of rain, and cooler temperatures. It really gets you down. There's a cure for that, though! Great nail art.

This look features two of my favorite Zoya polishes: London and Trixie. For all the details and whatnot, click the Read More link below!

Celestial Cosmetics - Arya Stark

Press Sample

Celestial Cosmetics, an Australian indie, has teamed up with Color4Nails for the Seven Kingdoms collection. There are nine polishes in total and I'll be sharing five of them with you over the next few posts.

The Seven Kingdoms collection is inspired by Game of Thrones and contains duochromes, holographics, and thermals. Personally, I know near to nothing about GoT, but the show is on my to watch list. This post is all about Arya Stark, an amazing holographic thermal polish. This post is full of surprises and you don't want to miss out on all of it after the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Great Pumpkin

Pumpkins. Pumpkins everywhere. This time of year is my favorite. It's finally getting cold outside, and I can start wearing my favorite chunky sweaters and dresses with tights. My house smells delicious thanks of the insane amount of pumpkin candles I have everywhere. I've already made my almost famous spicy pumpkin soup twice. I even bought pumpkin costumes for the cats. (You can check my Instagram for pictures.) Needless to say, I'm obsessed with pumpkins. This challenge was a breeze.

For all the information, check out the rest under the cut...

Falling for Nail Art: Sweater Weather

I'm back to the nail art challenge! My cold is still going strong, but I had polish my nails last night. I didn't have a lot of time and needed something fairly easy. I decided to go with some stamping. I'm sure I would have had more inspiration if it were actually sweater weather here. This weekend has been in the 80s. This is Pittsburgh! It should not be 80 degrees in October.

This picture isn't very good, but there are better ones after the jump.

Penelope Luz - Belly Dance and Modern Art

Press Sample

Hey, babes! Sorry for the lack of posts. First, I was busy with work and dealing with a sick boyfriend. Then, I got a cold. I've been in bed for the past few days. With naked nails! I know, I know. I actually did my nails for tomorrow's nail art challenge and I can't wait to share them. I was clearing out pictures on my laptop when I came across these two Penelope Luz polishes. I can't believe I forgot them!

Penelope Luz is a 3 free Brazilian indie polish. I've been eying up a few of her polishes, but never bought them because they weren't readily available in the US. Until now! Color4Nails makes indie shopping so much easier.

Check out all the good stuff under the cut...

Esmaltes Da Kelly - Phoenix and My Heart Was Stolen

Press Sample

Esmaltes Da Kelly is a Brazilian indie polish line by Kelly Christina. These polishes come in adorable  little 8mL bottles with a bow attached to the handle. I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Between the labels and bows, I was in love with these before I even painted my nails. I have two EDKs to share with you today. As always, all the good stuff is after the jump.

Vermelho Marcia Lima - Dorothy Shoes and Pink Pop

Press Sample

Yet again, I have another new indie polish to share. Vermelho Acessories Esmaltes is a Brazilian indie polish by Marcia Lima.  I've seen a few of Marcia Lima's polishes on Instagram and even have a few on my wishlist. When I received these two, I couldn't have been happier to try them. Her glitter polishes are outstanding. I must admit I spent a little longer staring at the bottles than I should have. I couldn't help myself. They're gorgeous.

Check out the full review and lots of great pictures after the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Early Sunsets

I don't know about you, but I love the early sunsets of autumn. I really enjoy watching the sun go down. Just don't wake me up for a sunrise. I don't think any sunrise is amazing enough to get me out of bed that early. I treasure sleep too much.

This nail art is pretty simple. I think anyone could easily duplicate it. The best part is that you only need a sponge and a paintbrush. Well, time is also a factor. Check out all the details after the cut.

Falling for Nail Art: Back to School

Happy Autumn! Happy first day of the nail art challenge! And more importantly, happy birthday to me! Today kicks off my Falling for Nail Art challenge. It runs from today, the first day of fall, through Thanksgiving. If you missed my initial post on this, you can check it out here.
Just a warning, I am by no means a nail art master. I'm hosting this challenge to better myself and have some fun along the way. The first day's theme is Back to School. I decided to do a mixed manicure.

Check out more after the cut...

Sinful Colors - Leather Luxe Collection

Calling all matte polish lovers! This collection is for you! I have nearly the whole Sinful Colors Leather Luxe Collection to share with you. I'm only missing one, a brown shade. I first heard of this collection last week, and knew I had to get my hands on them. Or rather, get them on my hands. (Sorry, that was lame.) I was having a terrible day at work and my wonderful boyfriend surprised me with these six! How sweet! Anyway, you're in for a treat today. There are tons of pictures coming up. Don't miss out!

Falling For Nail Art - Fall 2013 Nail Art Challenge

Hey all! I'm excited to announce that I'll be hosting a nail art challenge that starts on September 22nd! Not only is that the first day of autumn, my favorite season, but it's also my birthday. This challenge will run through Thanksgiving. Each week there will be two challenges. I think I've come up with some great themes to inspire nail art.

What do you think? I didn't want to be specific with what time of nail art you had to do. If you aren't good with water marbling, you don't have to do it. If you think you aren't good at painting straight lines, don't worry about it. This is all up to your interpretation of the theme.

Please join in on the fun! You don't have to have your own blog to join. You can share your nail art on my Facebook page (I'll share them with my fans), on Pinterest (I'll repin them to one of my boards), or on Instagram (I'll make a special tag for them. Check back for that!) so everyone can see. If you're a blogger, let me know if you're participating. I'll link you to the master list of participants on this post, plus I'll be sure to include your posts in my challenge posts.

Don't think you can commit to all the days? No problem! Think you might be a little late for some? No sweat! Post what you want, when you want. This is all in good fun. Feel free to share this your readers or friends. The more the merrier, and I'd love to see what you've got!

Let me know if you have any questions! You can leave a comment here or message me on Facebook.

F4 Polish - Mint Chocolate Chip

Today's the second in a string of F4 Polish posts. My head's been in another place lately, and I've had this window open for hours.  Luckily, this polish can pretty much speak for itself.

If you aren't familiar with F4 Polish, they're a trio of sisters from Ohio who bonded together by making nail polish. Dream life, right? Their shop is currently closed, but I've heard they'll be back in action really soon!

F4 Polish - Edgy

F4 Polish sent me a few polishes to review last month. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I just got around to swatching them. Sorry, F4 ladies! Better late than never, right?

Anyway, this is the first of a series that I'll be adding every few days if all goes as planned. Spoiler alert: I LOVE THEM.

Tillie Polish - Falling Collection

Hey, babies! I'm back and I'm so excited for autumn. It's my favorite season: cool weather, pumpkins, layered clothes; Halloween, and more. It's been a rough few weeks, but I'm ready to turn over a new leaf or leaves. Falling leaves, that is. Tonight's post really gets me pumped for a new season. Tillie sent me three polishes from the Falling Collection to review.

Products sent for review.

Tillie is a new to me indie brand. Here's a little about Tillie (taken from www.tilliepolish.com): We are three sisters who share a love for nail polish. Our inspiration behind Tillie was to share our passion for trendy colors, long-lasting formula, and toxic-free ingredients with other nail polish fanatics. Between school, work, and play, the last thing we want is for our nail polish to let us down. This fast drying, opaque formula was carefully designed for the busy, yet stylish, lacquer lover in mind. You can have a clear conscience because our products are animal cruelty free. Tillie polishes are also non-toxic and made without toulene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), or camphor.
