Polish Addict Nail Color - Island Girl

Polish Addict Nail Color is all about summery goodness right now. If you missed out on my first two Polish Addict posts, you can check them out here and here. Today's installment features Island Girl, a great neutral.

Mixed Manicure - Nude and Black

This manicure is something different for me. I've seen tons of mixed manicures, aka kitchen sink manis, all over Instagram and Pinterest, but have never tried one myself. I recently received a few things from KK Center HK for review purposes and had to put them to the test. This manicure combines fun, elegance, and neutrals.

Polish Addict Nail Color - Cool Summer

It's time for my second installment from Polish Addict! This is the perfect pick me up after the lazy day I had. Mister Plump and I spent the day finishing season 9 of Seinfeld and pug snuggling. Polish Addict Nail Color - American Beautiful

Tonight's post is the first of four Polish Addict polishes I have to share with you. Polish Addict was created back in August 2012 by polish friends Laura and Crystal. What better thing for bffs to do? As soon as I got this and the other polishes, I couldn't wait to give them a try! I've seen swatches while browsing Instagram and had to test them myself.

Liquid Lacquer - Freckled Lemonade

I don't know about you, but I love homemade lemonade. Better yet, homemade freckled lemonade with fresh strawberries. Sweet, tart, and refreshing. Perfect on a hot summer day. This polish is no different.

Melissa of Liquid Lacquer was sweet enough to take my idea for this polish and run with it. She created this lovely combination and is offering it as a part of the upcoming summer collection. She'll have her next restock around 6/29, but be sure to check the Facebook fan page for updates! (I'll have swatches of more in upcoming posts! You're in for a real treat with these.)

Jindie Nails - Candy Land Remix

If you aren't familiar with the game Candy Land, stop reading and reevaluate your childhood. You seriously missed out if you didn't play that iconic board game. Plumpy was always my favorite character. He was the chubby little fuzzy green monster under the gingerbread plum tree. I guess I could relate to him. Anyway, I have another Jindie to share with you. Candy Land Remix is a great neon crelly that's perfect for summer. You won't want to miss out on this one.

Essie Naughty Nautical Summer 2013 Collection

Just a disclaimer about today's post: I'm sick. I have a summer cold and haven't left the couch today. If I make some grammatical errors or something doesn't make sense, it's not my fault. Blame it on this stupid cold. Writing this post will be the most productive thing I've done all day. Well, besides watching Disney's Hercules and ordering a new checks. (I picked a Monster, Inc theme this time.) I may or may not have done some online shopping, too.

I swatched this collection a few days ago, and fell in love with these polishes. I have five of the six colors available. I passed on the light blue; I'm just not much of a light blue fan. I couldn't see myself reaching for it and decided to leave it behind.

Jindie Nails - Rave

If you're part of the nail polish community, I'm sure you've heard of Jindie Nails. If not, you're missing out. I recently purchased 2 mini bottles during the last restock. I was sent a full size of another polish by mistake. Jen, the creator, was super sweet about the mix up. She told me to keep the polish I was sent by accident and she promptly sent out two full size bottles of the minis I originally ordered. Now that is great customer service! I wish more indie shops would follow suit. Enough babbling! Here's my first Jindie Nails: Rave.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat

I know, I know. I've been gone for a hot minute. May was such a hectic month. I went to Philadelphia for a week, worked a ton, saw Fall Out Boy, and had so much to do Memorial Day weekend. Thanks to my new favorite base coat, Rejuvacote, I didn't have to worry about my nails. Polish lasts me a week or more. AMAZING. I may not have been posting, but I've been buying polish. At first, I only had four of these Sally Hansen Sugar Coats. I wasn't sure about them until I swatched a few. I had to run out and find the other four this afternoon.
