Butter London Queen Vic and Lovely Jubbly

Whoa now! I'm on a roll.

Many of you took part in the Ulta sale this past Monday. Butter Londons were Buy One Get One Free with a limit of 4 total. Of course I had to partake in the deal! I work long hours and wasn't able to get to Ulta until half an hour to close. Luckily, I work caddy corner to the store. When I arrived, I thought all the BLs were sold out, but I was in luck! I got my grabby hands on Queen Vic, Lovely Jubbly, Trout Pout, and Lady Muck. I may or may not have swooped in like a hawk and swiped them as other girls were moving in on them. I also picked up Horse Power. I've used it a few times so far and really like it as a base coat. It's thick, glossy, strong, and has a great dry time.

When I saw Queen Vic and Lovely Jubbly side by side, I knew they would be perfect together. Keep on reading for the pictures!

Rainbow Polish Monarch

Yes, you read that correctly. I actually bought an indie polish on Etsy.

Monarch is a great orange, yellow, and black glitter mix in a clear base. This polish is PACKED with glitter. The coverage was great and wear time was just as good. For the manicure below, I used a base of Cult Nails Nevermore, my favorite one coat black. I finished it off with a coat of Gelous followed by Seche Vite. This glitter was a bit gritty, but smoothed out perfectly with the top coat duo.

Enough with the gabbing. Take a look at this beauty!

Cult Nails Charming

Today's polish is Charming from Cult Nails. I've had this on my wishlist since the Fairy Tale Collection first popped up. I'm a sucker for purple polish! My wonderful secret swap partner gifted this beauty to me.

On the Cult Nails Blog, Charming is described as  "a sheer purple creme with a purple metallic shimmer that can be used for layering or you can use multiple coats for an opaque look."  I'm  not sure I would consider this a creme. It's more of a sheer jelly polish with a purple/blue/pink shimmer. It has such a glowing and squishy feel to it.

When I first went to apply this polish, I noticed it was much more sheer than expected. Before I made the dreaded mistake of VNL (visible nail line), I opted to back up and add some underwear. The swatches below are two coats over one thin coat of Essie Play Date. I added a coat of Seche Vite to top it off.

Illamasqua Nomad

First of all, I'm sorry to anyone who actually reads this blog. I'm horrible with starting a project, but never following through it. I was so excited to start this blog. I'm always doing my nails and posting them in various Facebook groups and on Instagram (ashleyeileen_). I'm not sure what's been keeping me from making an actual blog post.

Well, here's to a fresh start!

I just got my hands on my first Illamasqua. I've had Nomad on my wishlist for some time now. I was on a no-buy for all of August thanks to a secret swap I was taking part in. My lovely swap partner sent me an AWESOME box. I'll be sure to post the other gifts later. :)

Illamasqua Nomad is a pastel jade with absolutely flawless application. I used two coats with a coat of Seche Vite for these pictures.
