Esmaltes Da Kelly - Phoenix and My Heart Was Stolen

Press Sample

Esmaltes Da Kelly is a Brazilian indie polish line by Kelly Christina. These polishes come in adorable  little 8mL bottles with a bow attached to the handle. I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Between the labels and bows, I was in love with these before I even painted my nails. I have two EDKs to share with you today. As always, all the good stuff is after the jump.

All photos are in natural light.
One coat of Duri Rejuvacote and one coat of Seche Vite were used.

Phoenix
dark magenta base
fine magenta glitter
various blue glitter

Phoenix
one coat
one coat Seche Vite

This is one coat of Phoenix on it's own. Just one coat! I'm thoroughly impressed. It's fully opaque and dried quickly. I used one coat of Seche Vite for these pictures, but when I wore this I used two coats. The pigment in my bottle had a few really small clumps. An extra coat of SV fixed that though.

Phoenix

These pictures don't show off how sparkly this polish truly is in real life. It has a great depth even with just one coat. In the bottle, I thought I'd have to layer this over a creme base or use at least three coats to make it opaque. It's rare that I find a true one coater.
I actually wore this for 4 days. I got quite a few compliments on it. The wear was great. I didn't have any chips when I went to remove it. Just a bit of normal tip wear.

Phoenix

The blue glitters in this make is a lot more interesting. If you're a magenta/purple lover, you need this polish. I have quite a few in my collection, but this can't compare with any of them.

My Heart Was Stolen
clear base
small orange, purple, pink,
and blue hexes
fine blue sparkling glitter

My Heart Was Stolen
two coats over Sinful Colors My Turn
one coat Seche Vite

This glitter topper has a great payoff. One coat offered enough coverage, but I liked it so much I couldn't leave it alone. Two coats really packed it on. Application was a breeze, and it had an average dry time. It was fairly smooth on its own. One coat of Seche Vite more than smoothed it over.

My Heart Was Stolen

I love how this looks over dark gray. I almost used it over black, but thought that too typical. The glitters are very metallic, offering a lot of sparkle. It's nice to see since I've noticed a ton of matte glitters lately.

The formula would be awesome for a glitter gradient. It's smooth and dense enough to offer an easy application.

My Heart Was Stolen

Go ahead and drool. I know you want to. The tiny blue sparkles set this off. What color would you layer this over?
