Falling for Nail Art: Sweet Treats

Good morning, ghouls! Halloween is just around the corner. I absolutely love the holiday. I picked Sweet Treats as the inspiration for challenge because of all the great candies, cookies, and whatnot this time of year. I decided to do one of my favorite treats: CUPCAKES! I'm always baking something in my apple green Kitchen Aid mixer named Sir Mix-A-Lot. (Lame name, huh?)

Check out all the details after the cut!

All pictures were taken in natural light.

  Sweet Treats

1) Paint black tips.
2) Use a small paintbrush to paint multi colored stripes.
3) Apply white polish with a dotting tool to create the frosting.
4) Use the dabbing method to apply the glitter for the sprinkles.
5) Apply a generous coat of Seche Vite and then place a rhinestone on top   before the SV fully dries.

Sweet Treats

I know this looks like a lot of work, but it didn't take me too long. It was most definitely worth it! I think these are my favorite nails I've ever done. EVER. This Lynnderella made for the perfect sprinkles to top these babies off.

So, what do you think? Are these yummy enough for you? I can't help but pat myself on the back for these! I'm in love. They're perfectly perfect for Halloween.

Don't forget! You can still join in on the challenge. You can post them on your blog and add your link below, post them on Instagram with the tag #fallingfornailart, or you can share them on my Facebook page and I'll share them from there. I'll also be making a Pinterest board!  Do as many or as few as you'd like. Here's the schedule:
