Sally Hansen Miracle Gel - Simple Halloween Nail Art

Press Sample

BOO! Gotcha! Yeah, I know. That was pretty lame, but Halloween is this weekend! Are you ready?

My dude and I had a great couples costume planned, but we couldn't find one of the key components and had to ditch the idea. I'm without a costume, but my nails will look awesome! I've reviewed a few of the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes before, but hadn't tried nail art. Keep on reading for my thoughts!

Sally Hansen - Miracle Gel Polish

Press Sample

Today, I have something a little different for you. Before this review, I had one gel manicure. It was about four years ago and didn't go too well. I think that was the fault of the nail tech. Since then, I haven't tried again...until now!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel isn't your typical gel polish. You don't need a base coat or a special light. It's two coats, some top coat, and you're good to go! All three of these had great formula so I'll just cut to the chase.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Halloween 2014

Press Sample

Can you believe Halloween is almost here and gone? It's my favorite time of the year, but I haven't been able to enjoy is as much as I usually do. Don't worry. I won't bore you with all the details about how I've been stressed out lately. My only outlet has been the little bit of time I have to do my nails.

Sally Hansen released a great quartet of limited edition shades that are perfect for the season. Keep on reading for all the details.

Mixed Manicure - Nude and Black

This manicure is something different for me. I've seen tons of mixed manicures, aka kitchen sink manis, all over Instagram and Pinterest, but have never tried one myself. I recently received a few things from KK Center HK for review purposes and had to put them to the test. This manicure combines fun, elegance, and neutrals.

Some products were sent for review.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat

I know, I know. I've been gone for a hot minute. May was such a hectic month. I went to Philadelphia for a week, worked a ton, saw Fall Out Boy, and had so much to do Memorial Day weekend. Thanks to my new favorite base coat, Rejuvacote, I didn't have to worry about my nails. Polish lasts me a week or more. AMAZING. I may not have been posting, but I've been buying polish. At first, I only had four of these Sally Hansen Sugar Coats. I wasn't sure about them until I swatched a few. I had to run out and find the other four this afternoon.

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength: Save The Date

I've got a quick post for you today. A Dollar Tree find! Yup, you heard that right. I snagged this beauty at the Dollar Tree for a buck. Pretty snazzy, huh? Whenever I run in there for odds and ends, I always check the makeup. I've scored some pretty good finds there in the past. Most items usually have an old clearance sticker from Rite Aid or CVS. Dollar Tree seems to be a catch all for rejects.

Two Coats Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Save The Date
One Coat Seche Vite

Save The Date is a stunning burgundy wine with a shimmer. This is such a rich color. The application was flawless and the dry time was quick. I was pleasantly surprised with this polish.

What's your favorite polish you've picked up on a whim?
