Mixed Manicure - Nude and Black

This manicure is something different for me. I've seen tons of mixed manicures, aka kitchen sink manis, all over Instagram and Pinterest, but have never tried one myself. I recently received a few things from KK Center HK for review purposes and had to put them to the test. This manicure combines fun, elegance, and neutrals.

Some products were sent for review.

Check out all the details under the cut...

All photos were taken in natural light.

Mixed Manicure
base: Zoya Shay
stamp: Wet N Wild Black Creme
stamping plate: Nailz Craze
black glitter: KK Center HK

Base
two coats Zoya Shay
one coat Seche Vite

Zoya Shay is the perfect nude for it. It doesn't give me lobster hands or wash me out, and it has a beautiful silver shimmer that doesn't show up in pictures.

The circle glitters from KK Center HK were super easy to apply. After I applied my top coat of Seche Vite, I applied a tiny dot of nail glue where I wanted to place the glitter. Using tweezers, I picked up a glitter and put it on the glue dot. I lightly pressed it down and into the top coat a bit.

The glitter gives this manicure a great dimension, and they stayed on for a long time! After showering, I was surprised to find them in place.

I really like this glitter, but some of them are stacked together. At first I thought some were thicker than others, but that's not the case. See how it seems like they weren't cut correctly? With a little effort, they come apart easily. There are so many glitters here.

I would not suggest using these in polish. I think they would disintegrate pretty quickly since they're plastic.

This 10g jar retails for $8.00 USD and can be purchased here

The black textured nail works well with this look. I think it kicks it up a notch and ties in nicely. I love the smooth glossy look of Shay next to it.

The floral image on the Nailz Craze plate is my favorite stamp right now. I've used it several times, but I didn't feel any were good enough to share with all of you. The image is big enough that it's very easy to use.

Sorry for the all pictures; I can't get enough of this manicure! I actually wore it for five days before changing it. The black glitter stayed on the WHOLE time. I'm impressed. I didn't expect them to stay on so long.

Whew. That was a long one, huh? What do you think of this look? Is this something you can see yourself wearing?
