Jonesy Lou Lacquer - Hip Hop Legends

Press Sample

Jonesy Lou Lacquer is back again! This collection is inspired by Hip Hop Legends, and I have four of them to show off today. I apologize in advance for the lack of macro shots in this post. I don't know what's wrong, but I didn't have any luck with them this round. I need to invest in a new camera and lens.

Don't miss out on all the details after the cut...

Street Dreams

Inspired by Nas

yellow gold metallic
holo sparkles

Street Dreams

This polish is a bit on the thin side, but three coats built it up nicely. You could also use it over white, cream, or yellow. It was easy to apply and dried well. I topped it with a bit of top coat to smooth over those sparkles.

This jelly built up well in two coats, but I wanted a little more glitter so I added a third coat. You might want to use the dabbing method a bit with this one. The glitter wanted to settled near the tip of my nail. It was pretty smooth and only needed a bit of top coat.

Hypnotize

Inspired by Biggie Smalls

black jelly base
gold to green duochrome shimmer
golden holo shimmer

one coat over Rica Blackout
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

I started off by using this alone, but didn't care for the look. Layering it over a black base made it really pop. I applied well and had a ton of shimmer in it. Top coat made it gorgeous.

This is by far my favorite of the four! I love the look of it. It's very starry night.

Killuminati

Inspired by Tupac

clear base
black and white triangles
black matte and holo hexes
black and white tiny glitters

one coat over Essie Fishnet Stockings
two coats Rica Glossy Glam

Killuminati

There's a ton of glitter in this and one coat gave me a ton of payoff. It was easy to work with when using the dabbing method. Because of the triangles, I used two coats of top coat to smooth it over. Worth it!

I thought the red base was fitting for this one, right?
