Milani Color Statement - Cotton Candy Stripes Nail Art

Press Sample

If you follow me on Facebook, you'll remember seeing the giant box of polishes I recently received from Milani. I was so pumped to find it on my doorstep! The Color Statement is a new core line from Milani. Over the next few weeks, I'll be featuring them in nail art looks! "This is your time to shine, with nails that drop-dead dazzle. Our new lacquer – the richest, most color-saturated formula in our lineup - delivers on a long list of patent-pending promises: Exceptional gloss that actually lasts. Detergent and Chip-resistance. Maximum nail protection."

Polishes used for this nail art look.
Two coats of each polish with no top coat.

      Cotton Candy Stripes

I started with two coats of Spotlight White as a base. It applied nicely and had a great dry time. With a small striping brush, I alternated diagonal stripes of each color. I layered them over each other two or three times until I got the look that I wanted.

To add a little extra something to the look, I added one coat of Pearl-Plexed Sheer. It added a great sparkle to it without overpowering the stripes. I finished it off with a coat of Quick Dry Top Coat. I was surprised by how much I liked it! It dried quickly and didn't smudge the nail art.

Milani Color Statement Polishes are available at various drugstores and big box stores such as Target, plus at www.milanicosmetics.com. They retail for $3.99 each.
