Aliquid Lacquer - Two Pleasant Peninsulas Trio

Press Sample

One of my favorite things about blogging is trying new indie brands! Aliquid Lacquer is new to me and I can't wait for all of you to see this trio from the Two Pleasant Peninsulas collection. The lovely Alison created this love letter to her home state of Michigan with eight polishes. Check out all the details after the cut...

Motor City

black jelly base
silver, gold, brown, and copper squares and circles
silver flakes

Motor City

three thin coats
one coat Ellagee Glass

For a black jelly, this built up nicely. The best part is that I didn't have to fish for those gorgeous big circles. It applied evenly and had a great dry time. I used one coat of top coat to smooth it over.

Petoskey Stone

warm taupe base
golden green shimmer
subtle holo shimmer

Petoskey Stone

two coats
one coat Ellagee Glass

I found this to be opaque in two coats. Depending on your application, it might take three. It was an easy application and only needed a bit of top coat to shine it up.

I wanted to show you a better look of the shimmers and holo in this. It's subtle, but stunning! I love this polish. It's a great nude.

People of the Three Fires

brick red base
blue, purple, and red shimmer

This polish applied in two easy coats. It has a great squishiness to it, but wasn't sheer at all. I used a bit of top coat to finish it off.

The shimmer in this is crazy good. In different light, it looks completely different.
