A Rhyming Dictionary - Calvin and Hobbes Collection

Press Sample

Here's another fabulous installment from the lovely Morgan of A Rhyming Dictionary! Morgan's the babe behind the brand and I love her to pieces. Not only does she create awesome polish, but she's one of my best polish buddies.

To see six shades from this collection inspired by Calvin and Hobbes, keep reading after the jump...

Moe

light icy aqua blue
subtle holographic

Moe

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Moe

AWESOME formula. This applied beautifully and was nearly opaque in one coat. I'm a two coat kind of polisher so I added an extra. I finished it off with top coat to really make it shine.

Moe

I seriously love this. It's so flawless. In person, the holoness is much more apparent.

Susie

dark periwinkle
subtle holographic

Susie

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Susie

This was a breeze to apply. Two coats and no issues. A little top coat and it was good to go since it dries to a matte finish.

Susie

This is my favorite from the collection. I don't have any holos that are like this. It's magical.

The Transmogrifier

light blue jelly base
blue iridescent glitters

The Transmogrifier

one coat over Essie Strut Your Stuff
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

The Transmogrifier

I found this polish to be on the sheer side, so I layered it over an opaque base. It applied smoothly and without any problems. I topped it with a bit of top coat to make it shine.

The Transmogrifier

What's cooler than being cool? This polish. Ha! That was pretty lame, but extremely accurate. It's icy and iridescent. Total wow factor.

I'm Ho-oome!

dark gray tinted base
maroon and gold flecks
tiny purple/blue/pink shimmer

I'm Ho-oome!

three coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

I'm Ho-oome!

This was a bit on the sheer side. Looking at these pictures, I didn't do it justice. Next time, I'll layer it over an opaque base. I used three coats and top coat for this look.

I'm Ho-oome!

This was so hard to photograph. It has a beautiful pink/blue/purple shimmer. It would look great over a dark base.

Lots of Tiny Snowmen

clear base
multi colored and sized circle glitters

Lots of Tiny Snowmen

one dabbed on coat over China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Lots of Tiny Snowmen

This one requires a bit of work because the base is thicker and the glitters are heavier. Once you give it a good shake and roll, it's easy to apply. I got the brush loaded up with glitter and then dabbed it on. A bit of top coat and it's finished off.

Lots of Tiny Snowmen

You could use this over any base and have it look amazing. There are so many different colors that it works well with everything.

G.R.O.S.S.

clear base
white and pink holo circles
magenta squares
light pink, silver, white, and gunmetal holo hexes
tiny pink holo sparkles

G.R.O.S.S.

one coat over Zoya Rooney
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

G.R.O.S.S.

This has a great application with a good glitter payoff. I didn't have any problems and needed just one coat for this look. I finished it off with top coat.

G.R.O.S.S.

My second favorite! I love this mix and the name is perfect. G.R.O.S.S stands for Get Rid Of Slimy girlS. This polish is super girly.
