Teal Jelly Sandwich

Last night on the Plump and Polished Facebook Fan Page, I asked what my next manicure should be. I only received a few answers, but it was worth a shot. Jelly Sandwich was the winner. I haven't done one of these in months. In the polish world, a jelly sandwich is a manicure with a sheer jelly polish layered over a glitter. When layering the two, the glitter looks like it's floating in a squishy sea of goodness.

One Coat Essie Go Overboard
Two Coats Lynnderella Connect the Dots
One Coat Zoya Frida
One Coat Seche Vite

Be sure to check out the details and other pictures under the cut.

I started this look with one coat of Essie Go Overboard, my favorite teal polish. I prefer an opaque base for jelly sandwiches as opposed to using the jelly polish as a base. I followed it up with two coats of Lynnderella Connect the Dots. CtD was my first Lynn and it's well loved. I've used it over nearly every color under the sun and it's always great.

A thick coat of Zoya Frida, the perfect teal jelly, and a coat of Seche Vite to seal it in finished this off nicely. The jelly polish completely changed the look of CtD. It added great depth and shine. I wish you could see this in person. Pictures really don't do this justice.

Be sure to check out the Facebook Fan Page and you might have the chance to pick my next manicure. I'm open to suggestions and requests!
