Deborah Lippmann: Flashdance

Deborah Lippmann polishes fell off my radar for awhile, but can't help falling for a good glitter. I picked this up from Nordstrom's back in August during a buy two, get one free promotion. I don't know what took me so long finally use it.

          Two Coats Deborah Lippmann Flashdance
Accent Nail: Illamasqua Prosperity
Two Coats Seche Vite

Check out more under the cut...

Flashdance is a mix of purple and fuchsia glitters in a clear base. Despite the clear base, this polish is opaque in two coats. For an accent, I used striping tape and a single swipe of Illamasqua Prosperity. It looks great, but  the accent wasn't very noticeable in real life. Not a single person commented. Two coats of Seche Vite smoothed it out quite a bit. The next time I use this polish, I'll use a combo of Gelous and Seche Vite. It was bumpier than I expected.

The above picture shows Flashdance by itself. It's very gritty and looks similar to the textured polish that's all the rage now. The only downfall to this polish is the clean up. It was a pain to get the extra glitter off my skin.

Are you a Deborah Lippmann fan? I don't have many and can't help but lust after the ones I don't own yet. One day.
