Different Dimension - Heavy Metals Fall 2014 Collection

Press Sample

Different Dimension is known for some ah-mazing holographic polishes, right? Of course Missi had to do it up for fall. Heavy Metals is a steampunk inspired collection composed of six rich metallic holographics and two metallic glitter toppers. The possibilities are endless with this set and the holographics are great neutral shades. They go with anything and everything!

For all the details, keep on reading...

Silver Lining

platinum metallic

two coats

Silver Lining

Two somewhat easy coats led to full coverage. Make sure to let each coat dry before adding the next. It might drag a little if not. Top coat shined it up to its full potential.

This isn't your typical silver holo. It's really rich and dense. It's one of my favorites from the collection.

Heart of Rose Gold

rose gold metallic

Heart of Rose Gold

This has a formula just like Silver Lining. If you aren't careful, it might be a bit brushstroke-y. It wasn't bad, though. Just let it dry enough between coats. Top coat finished it off nicely.

This is a soft an feminine look. It's not what I typically go for, but I really liked it on. Plus, I've been singing "Heart of Gold" in my head since wearing it.

Copper-Bottomed

copper metallic

one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Copper-Bottomed

This one only needed two super easy coats for full coverage. A bit of top coat and it was good to go.

This is my second top pick from the collection. I've never seen a copper holo before!

All That Glitters Is Not Gold

yellow gold metallic
golden shimmer

All That Glitter Is Not Gold

Again, two easy coats for full coverage. No issues at all and only one coat of top coat was needed.

Yellow gold never looks good on me. I don't wear gold-tones or golden jewelry. It's just not me. I love this on the nail and in the bottle, but I just don't care for it on my skin tone.

Bold as Brass

brassy bronze metallic
brass shimmer
linear holographic

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Bold as Brass

Two easy and even coats with no issues. I didn't have any problems with application. It was smooth and only needed some top coat to make it really shine.

The brass shimmer in this is insane. It's a deeper and more brown look than Copper-Bottomed. I really like it!

Foiled Again

dark gunmetal gray metallic
golden flaked shimmer

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Foiled Again

Two coats with no issues. It applied smoothly and evenly. I used some top coat to shine it up.

This is my favorite of the group. I wasn't expecting the golden flaky shimmer, but I really like it! It adds something different to it and makes it shine in the light.

Hearts of Steel

clear base
gold, copper, and rose pink metallic and holo hexes and dots
golden holo sparkles

one coat over Zoya Veronica
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Hearts of Steel

Easy one coat glitter topper with even coverage and application. One coat of top coat was enough to smooth it over.

I was trying to bring out the rose gold glitters with my base, but I think I failed. I like it; it's just not my favorite choice. I think it would look better over a black base.

Pedal to the Metal

clear base
gold, gunmetal, silver, copper, and bronze metallic and holographic hexes, dots, and squares

one coat over Essie After School Boy Blazer
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Pedal to the Metal

This glitter practically applied itself. One easy and even coat gave great glitter payoff. One coat to top coat finished it off perfectly.

This is my favorite of the two glitters. I love the copper and gunmetal glitters. It looks great over this deep, dark blue.
