The Beauty Buffs - Floral

Hey, babes! I'm a little late with my Beauty Buffs post, but it's better than never, right? This week's theme is floral. Floral can be dainty and shabby chic or bold and gaudy or anything in between. It's what you make of it!

For details on this look and a link up for all the other Beauty Buffs, keep on reading...

Materials Used

Rica Blackout
light green, dark green, pink, purple, and yellow acrylic craft paints
Rica Glossy Glam
small angle brush
two dotting tools

I started with a plain black base and applied a top of Glossy Glam. I find that it's easier to work with paints on a smooth surface. With a small angle brush, I "dotted" on the leaves in two colors. I wanted the flowers to look layered over the leave. I added more top coat before moving on to the flowers.

With a large dotting tool, I added the pink flowers. Then, I used the small dotting tool to make three purple dots in the center. I finished it off with a small yellow dot and some more top coat.

This might be my favorite nail art look I've ever done. I tried to make roses, but failed horribly. You won't be seeing those nails. ha!

  2. The flowers look great against the black base. I don't do floral designs that much- I need to try something like this!
