ZR's Polish - Ashley Holo Collection

Press Sample

Hey, babes! I have a new indie line to share with you today. The lovely Iris of ZR's Polish contacted me after reading about the plagiarism debacle last month. (There's always a silver lining.) She was nice enough to send me her first collection to swatch and review: The Ashley Holo Collection.

This collection is dedicated to her daughter Ashley, and $1 from each polish is donated to the Epilepsy Foundation. I think it's a really awesome cause to support. Epilepsy is something most people know of, but not about it.

Sky High

periwinkle blue jelly
light holographic glitter dusting

Sky High

four thin coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Sky High

I used four coats to achieve this look. After I did it, I realized that I should have layered it over a creme base. It would look great over white or a pastel blue. The formula was great and applied nicely. Average dry time. I topped it with one coat of Glossy Glam to finish it off.

Sky High

I really like the color of this one. This the jelly finish, it would be great for a jelly sandwich look. The holographic glitter is much more apparent  in real life. It was a big hard to capture because it's so delicate.

Wine A Little

red metallic base
pink and orange duochrome shift
heavy holographic glitter dusting

Wine A Little

three coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Wine A Little

Three coats to full opacity with a great syrupy formula. It's shiny and smooth on its own, but I used a coat of Glossy Glam to help it dry a bit faster.

Wine A Little

This is my second favorite of the group. The duochrome is beautiful and it has a lot more glitter in it than a few of the others. This would look amazing over an opaque base to get a stark background to make the duochrome pop a little more.

Count Your Blessings

light grayish lavender chrome
slight holographic glitter dusting

Count Your Blessings

three coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Count Your Blessings

Just as the two before it, the formula was nice. I used three coats for opacity. No issues with pooling or dragging. I used one coat of Glossy Glam to to top it off.

Count Your Blessings

This has a really pretty icy look to it. The holo glitter gives it a bit of a blue flash that's easily seen in real life.

I'll Have Another

bronze almost orange metallic chrome
bronze to gold duochrome flash
heavy holographic glitter dusting

I'll Have Another

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

I'll Have Another

This is the most opaque of the bunch and I needed only two coats. Still a great formula and a coat of Glossy Glam.

I'll Have Another

Look at all that metallic and glittery shimmery goodness. The duochrome flash on this is outstanding. A must have for anyone who loves gold tones.

Sea The Stars

dark blue chrome
light blue flash
heavy holographic glitter dusting

Sea The Stars

three coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Sea The Stars

Three easy coats and this one is ready to go. It has a nice syrupy formula that was a piece of pie to work with. One coat of top coat finished it up.

Sea The Stars

This is my favorite of the group! The deep blue base with the icy blue flash is gorgeous. Add in the holo sparkles and you've got a real winner. This would look amazing over a dark base!

Little Dreamer

frosty mint green
subtle holographic glitter dusting

Little Dreamer

three coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Little Dreamer

This also applied nicely. I used three coats for full opacity. No issues with application or dry time. I used one coat of Glossy Glam to finish it off.

Little Dreamer

This was a surprising winner for me. In the bottle, I thought it was going to be super frosty and show off brushstrokes. I'm glad that wasn't the case at all. It's really pretty and fresh looking.

Are there any you need? I think these could easily be used as toppers over opaque bases or for a topper to a glitter manicure to give it a nice squishy look.
