Glam Polish - Glimmer

Press Sample

Happy New Year! I meant to post this yesterday, but I got caught up in my NYE festivities. Don't worry, it wasn't that exciting. My dude and I decided to buy a Wii U and stay in for the night. We're adults if you didn't know. ha!

Anyway, today's post is Glam Polish Glimmer. If you aren't familiar with this indie, just check my Glam Polish tag at the bottom of this post. I've posted quite a few and love them all. I decided to layer this over three colors to show off the chameleon look. It's all under the cut!

Glimmer

multiple sizes iridescent
hexes and squares
slight holographic effect

This is a limited edition polish from the Pixie Hollow collection.

This polish applies beautifully. For the swatches below, I used one coat over an opaque base. I didn't have any issues with application or dry time. I only needed one coat of topcoat, too.

I love this over a light pink base! It looks a lot more pink and purple than it does in the bottle. This might be my favorite pairing I chose.

Over a lighter and brighter purple like this, Glimmer takes on a completely different look. It's very icy, but still has the pink flash. I was surprised to see this after using it over the light pink.

WOW! Over a dark blue, this looks amazing. It doesn't even look like the same polish as above. The iridescence is blue and green now. The holographic effect really shows here, too!

This polish is pretty awesome. It's extremely versatile and would work over almost any color. I say almost because I'm not sure how it would look over brown. I don't think I'm willing to try that combination. What do you think? Is this something you need in your collection?

Glimmer is a full size 12mL bottle.
It's available from Color4Nails for $12  plus shipping.

  1. Beautiful swatches of these polishes! How do you like your Wii U? I've been debating about getting one for days....for my husband and I, no kids haha!

  2. Thank you!

I LOVE THE WII U. We've wanted one since it was released. We gave our Wii to my little sister (they're teens) about two years ago and we missed it so much. We have a PS3, but there aren't many games that I like. I prefer the cartoony games. We bought the Mario and Luigi bundle from Target. It's great! The picture is clear and crisp, the new controller is amazing and double as a tv remote, and it's user friendly. I'd suggest getting one. I can't wait to get Zelda Windwaker, Mario 3D, and the new Donkey Kong game when it comes out. :)

  3. My favorite is over Play Date. I'm seriously drooling over here. I want to go buy it right now but I've been on some sort of polish buying extravaganza here recently so I'm trying to hold off. Gorgeous photos as always!

  4. I know what you mean! I went Ulta for a haircut and ended up with 3 polishes and 3 new lipsticks. I'm terrible!
