Celestial Cosmetics - Jaqen H'ghar and Sapphires of Tarth

Product sent for review.

This is my last post for the Celestial Cosmetics and Color4Nails collaboration of the Seven Kingdoms collection. I wanted this to be my first one, but I had a terrible time trying to capture how beautiful these polishes really are. For some reason, duochromes are really hard to photograph.

If you didn't already know, Celestial Cosmetics, an Australian indie, has teamed up with Color4Nails for the Seven Kingdoms collection. This collection is inspired by Game of Thrones and contains duochromes, holographics, and thermals.

* All photos were taken in natural light. *

Jaqen H'ghar
metallic duochrome
purple in most light
gold and red color shifts

Jaqen H'ghar
two coats alone
one coat Seche Vite

This polish applied flawlessly. Two coats made it opaque and it dried quickly. I used a coat of Seche Vite to gloss it over and really bump up the shine.

I tried so, so hard to capture the shift in this. I promise that it's there in real life. You can see how pretty the shift looks in the bottle. I think layering this over a dark base might have brought out the duochrome a lot more.

Sapphires of Tarth
metallic duochrome
sapphire blue in most light
purple shift

Sapphires of Tarth
two coats alone
one coat Seche Vite

This one had the same great formula as the polish above. Two quick drying coats and a coat of Seche Vite made this perfect.

Sapphires of Tarth

Look at the purple color shift! Isn't is perfect? This is my favorite of the two. I wore this for two days without any chips so it gets a golden star from me!

  2. Mine, too! I'm a September baby so I need all the sapphire polishes. If you wanted to get that one, I'd do it soon! There are only a few left.
