Liquid Lacquer - Blurple Nurple

Oh, just another Liquid Lacquer post. I can't get enough of Melissa's creations! This beauty is called Blurple Nurple; a blue and purple glitter mix. I've been wearing "boring" colors lately and needed something bright and sparkly. This sure hit the spot since I've been in a rut. I broke down and bought a Helmer this weekend. I don't know what took me so long! It was a breeze to build and holds my polish much nicer than the storage cubes I bought at Michael's. Between work and sorting my polish, I've been pretty busy.

The formula on this was spot on. The glitter came out nicely; I had no problem picking up the large circles.

Dry time wasn't bad. I allowed my base color to completely dry before adding the glitter.

This glitter is pretty smooth on it's own, but I decided to use Gelous. I came across my bottle while I was sorting my polish. I had forgotten about it for a few months. If you like a super smooth and glassy appearance, give it a try. I applied it over the glitter before using a coat of Seche Vite. The glitters look like they're floating!

I'm a big fan of purple and this looks amazing over a bright medium blue. I wish I could have captured the holographic rainbow flash of the large circle glitter. It plays nicely in the sunlight.

Meet Ned. He's a 10 year old Maine Coon who thinks he's the king of the castle. He didn't want me to nails last night and decided to sit on my desk. He wouldn't stop headbutting me! Every time I'd put him on the floor, he'd jump right back up on my lap.

Ned's a funny old man. I've never met a pickier cat.
