Candeo Colors - Anochi Kai

I've been eyeing up quite a few polishes from Candeo Colors. Today's post features Anochi Kai, a purple jelly glass fleck. If I'm not sure what polish to put on, I typically go with a purple; this one did not disappoint at all.

Anochi Kai means nightfall in Papiamento, the most widely spoken language on the Caribbean islands.

Candeo Colors are hand mixed utilizing existing colors, lacquer base and a multitude of loose pigments and glitters. All polishes are 3-free.

I tried to wear this alone, but had visible nail line after four coats. I would have taken a picture if it hadn't been midnight. I layer two coats over Orly Beautiful Disaster. The application was smooth and effortless.
Dry time was average. It dries a little on the matte/satin side, but one coat of Seche Vite did the trick.

I typically wouldn't share this in an indie post, but I wanted to show you the base. The color is perfect to wear under Anochi Kai. It didn't overpower it or change it at all. My only qualm with this polish is the bubbling! I can't stand bubbling and I've experienced with many of the Mash Up polishes. I'll have a full post on those later.

The lighting in this picture isn't the best, but I wanted to show you one coat over an opaque base. It added a nice amount of shimmer, but I wanted more. As you can see, this dried a bit matte. It almost has a squishy rubber look to it.

I tried really hard to capture the color shift. Pictures do NOT do this polish any justice.

I can't get over how lovely this polish is. I keep catching myself staring at my nails. In low light, the color shift is very apparent. It's a pain to capture! I've tried for over an hour today.

Look at that macro shot! Isn't it gorgeous? The purple jelly is the perfect base for these glass flecks.

Sorry, I'm not sorry for all the pictures. I just couldn't decide on a few. I had to share them all!

I really like how you can see the color shift in this macro shot. Towards the watermark, you can see the pinky gold flash.

Overall, I'm in love with this polish. I can't express it enough. the formula was perfect. It's nice and smooth after a top coat. It's playful and  twinkles in the light.
