Hey, babes! This post is a long time coming. This was actually the last review I did at my old place. I wanted to post it before the move, but my dude packed away my office before I could get to it. Well, now I'm finally settled in and ready to get this show on the road!
Julie of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer teamed up with Alter Ego for the North Georgia Sunset duo and it's a great one! I've really missed seeing Julie's glitter toppers.
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer
Ridge Silhouette
clear base
matte orange, hot orange, watermelon, hot pink, royal blue, and navy glitter mix
Alter Ego
Twinkles at Twilight
deep blue metallic shimmer
linear holographic
Twinkles at Twilight
two coats
one coat Seche Vite
Ridge Silhouette
one coat over Twinkles at Twilight
one coat Seche Vite
Both of these polishes had great formulas. Two coats of the blue and one coat of the glitter were perfect. No issues and dry time was good. I topped it with Seche Vite to really make it shine.
I love this glitter mix! I'm so glad that Julie went a different route this time around. I feel like the indie market is so focused on holos right now that we've all forgotten our love of a good glitter topper. This would look great over an array of colors, too!
The Destination Duo is currently available and includes full size bottles of the BEGL and AE plus the Alter Ego Berries and Cream soap and bomb cupcake pictured above.
The duo is $25 shipped domestically with a prorated shipping fee for international.
