Beauty Quartet Box - Trick or Treat! [October 2015]

Press Sample

Boo! Are you all ready for Halloween? I know I am! It's still summer and over 90° here in Pittsburgh, but a girl can dream of autumn. It really can't come soon enough. When I opened up this package, I was giddy! Halloween is my favorite time of the year and this special Beauty Quartet Box hit it out of the park.

It's the one year anniversary of the first BQB so Esther of Philly Loves Lacquer and Kim of Smokey Mountain Lacquer went all out with this eight piece limited edition box. You don't want to miss this post!

Super smooth application in just two coats. I had no issues at all. It dried to a nice finish, but I prefer the look of top coat.

This was hard to capture. For some reason, blues wash me out. The color is correct and it's super gorgeous in person!

Dollish Polish
Welcome Foolish Mortals

black jelly
matte aqua, blue, teal, periwinkle, amethyst, purple, indigo, neon green and orange glitters
purple shimmer

For a jelly, this is quite opaque. I used two coats alone. If you prefer, one coat over a black base would be good, too. You'll want to use a good top coat to smooth it over since it's really packed with glitter.

It's really refreshing to see a nice glitter jelly mix! I haven't gotten a new one in a long time.

Awesome formula! This was almost a one coat wonder, but I used two to built it up a bit more. It dried quickly and I finished it off with some top coat.

This is a new brand to me. I love this polish since it's right up my alley. Posing with the bottle was a bit odd though. Also, because of the size of the bottle, the brush is much shorter than I'm used to. However, it was easy to use.

One coat wonder! Can you believe it? This is really packed with glitters. It's a bit thick, but I didn't mind. If you do, a few drops of thinner should do the trick. I finished it off with some top coat to make it super smooth.

I love this! It's black, but not boring at all. A must have for the season.

This is absolutely perfect. Two easy coats and a bit of top coat is all you need.

I love this polish so, so much. Almost as much as I love sangria.

Two coats with a super smooth formula that was easy to apply. I was surprised by how opaque this turned out. I used top coat to gloss it over.

This is my favorite polish in the box. I've honestly never seen anything like it. It's Halloween in a bottle!

Smooth and creamy; just how I like it! This was great in just two coats with no issues at all. I finished it with top coat.

This is a dark olive, but it also reads a bit brown on me. I typically wouldn't go for a color like this, but putting it on completely changed my mind. This is beautiful!

For a crelly, this was pretty opaque. I used two coats for good coverage. You could use three if you wanted a bit more oomph. It was fairly shiny on its own, but I topped it with top coat for extra shine.

This color is fantastic. I have it on my toes right now. I wish I had taken a picture of it when I was out the other night. It glows a good bit!
