Good afternoon! I'm back with another post about ALIQUID Lacquer. This Halloween collection, Angel in Hell, was inspired by Phantom of the Opera. Rather than just naming polishes after songs in the musical, the polishes are named for the gothic/romantic themes in the story, as well as the contrasts between beauty/ugliness and light/dark.
Keep on reading for all the details!
Forever and a Day
dark green tinged slate gray creme
green, purple, and iridescent flakies
red shimmer
two coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
Forever and a Day
Two easy coats with an average dry time lead to a perfect application. I topped it off with top coat.
Forever and a Day
Look at that! There's so much going on in this polish. It's not your average gray. The flakes and shimmer are great.
Corpse de Ballet
light powder pink creme
silvery white and dark plum flakies
iridescent green shimmer
three coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
Corpse de Ballet
This polish is a bit sheer, but built up nicely in three easy coats. I found it to dry pretty quickly, too. I finished it off with top coat to really make it shine.
Corpse de Ballet
This polish is delicate without being boring. I love the plum flakies in this most. The green shimmer is a nice touch.
Unending Night
blackened blue violet
copper and red micro flakies
linear holographic
two coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
Unending Night
Two easy coats and this polish is good to go. I found it to apply nicely because of the creamy formula. I think top coat is a must to really make the holographic effect shine.
Unending Night
I'm a sucker for purple polish. I really like this. It's hard to see the red shimmer, but it's there in real life. You need to see this one in person.
Red Death
black jelly
red, silver, chartreuse, and yellow hexes
red and holographic shimmer
three coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
Red Death
I used three thin coats for full opacity. If you'd prefer, you could easily layer this over a black base. This one took a little longer to dry. You'll definitely want top coat to smooth it over and make it shine.
Red Death
The chartreuse glitters look a bit gold to me, but I don't mind. I love how the glitters float in the black jelly base. This is perfect for the season.
The Skeleton's Ring
pale buttery yellow creme
golden iridescent flakies
golden shimmer
two coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
The Skeleton's Ring
For a pale yellow, this had a great formula. I used two creamy coats with no issues for this look. A bit of top coat finished it off.
The Skeleton's Ring
I know it might be a surprise, but this is my favorite from the collection. I love it looks on me and I never say that for golden tones.
Maze of Mirrors
clear base
silver holo and black shards
silver iridescence
silver holographic shimmer
four coats
one coat Ellagee Glass
Maze of Mirrors
one coat over OPI Anti Bleak
one coat Ellagee Glass
Maze of Mirrors
On its own, this polish took me four coats. It seemed to take a bit to dry and I wasn't really feeling it. I decided to try it over an opaque base. I much prefer it! It applied more evenly and had a great coverage in one coat. One coat of top coat finished it off nicely.
Maze of Mirrors
There's so much going on in this. Over this purple base, The iridescence took on a nice icy look. My only wish would be more black shards. I feel like they're a little scarce.
The Angel in Hell Collection is currently available! Each bottle is available in a mini or full size for $5-11 each.
Oh, and I forgot to take a picture of the awesome Pumpkin Cheesecake lip balm that I also got in my review package. It had a nice sweet and spicy scent without being too much. Definitely check them out!
Aliquid Lacquer can be purchased in the shop.
Wow, I love almost every polish in this collection! They are gorgeous! My absolute favorites are Forever and a Day, Corpse de Ballet, and Unending Night. The flakies and shimmer in those polishes is a nice touch.

ReplyDeleteI especially adore Unending Night, but I might be biased - the name is AWESOME.A
