Fortune Cookie Soap - Witch, Please! Fall 2014

Oh, my! Oh, my! Am I the only one who can't wait for fall? It's most definitely my favorite time of year. A few friends of mine have been raving about Fortune Cookie Soap, a small company that produces unique handmade bath and body products. I had to see what all the fuss was about! I decided to start out with the fall soap box. I ordered it shortly before the cutoff. I'm glad I did!

For details on the box and my first impressions of the products, keep on reading!

Witch, Please!
Fall 2014 Soap Box

Four times a year, FCS has a major product launch. The Soap Box is a sampling of the line and includes 8 exclusive mini-sized products. The box is only $19.99 and includes shipping! That's a great deal to try out different products. It also includes a $10 gift code to use on a future purchase so you can pick up some of your favorites.

There's No Place Like Home
Fortune Cookie Soap

FCS is known for the adorable fortune cookie shaped soap. The tag has a fortune and the soap scent listed.

This one smells like fall to me. It's a great cinnamon apple scent. Spicy and warm with hints of allspice and clove. Sweet, but not overly sweet.

Roy G. Biv
OCD Hand Sanitizer

This hand sanitizer is moisturizing and great for on the go. This is the perfect purse size. My only complaint is with the name. I don't this OCD should be taken lightly. It's often tossed around incorrectly.

The scent floral and citrus. It smells clean, but to me it's overly floral. It's definitely not one of my favorite scents. I'd like to try the product in a different one.

Wicked, Good
Whipped Cream

This product is the one that I'm most excited about! It's a thick and luscious body butter that goes on silky and absorbs quickly. I used a little bit on my hands and loved the feel. The sample size is really nice and will work well for me come fall and winter.

The scent is my favorite from the box. It's pumpkin-y, but also has notes of fruit, spice, and vanilla. It's well balanced.

Swankified
Walnut Facial Scrub

This walnut facial scrub is thick and  has a creamy texture to exfoliate the face and leave smooth skin. It'll be great to use every once in awhile during those months when my skin dries a bit from the weather.

The scent is really great. It's like a banana and walnut cake. I've never smelled a facial wash like this before.

Miss Popular
Bubble Bath Powder

Personally, I have no use for a bubble bath powder. This is supposed to give you a mountain of bubbles and leave you feeling moisturized.

I'm honestly not a fan of the scent. It's very floral with lots of violet and jasmine.

Don't mind the glitched picture. I only took one before I gave this away.

Hair Flip
Hair Oil

One or two drops of this hair oil is supposed to leave you with a nourishing shine without a greasy residue. I have slightly oily hair to begin with, so I'm not sure how often I would use something like this.

The scent is heavenly, though. It's a blend of creamy vanilla and hazelnut.

Flying Monkeys
Personal Space Air Freshener

This is a concentrated air freshener that also doubles as a fabric refresher. I used a few spritzes in my office and it filled the room for a good while.

The scent is a nice fruity blend of peach, watermelon, and banana with notes of neroli and jasmine. I'm not a fan of jasmine and I'm glad it doesn't overpower this scent.

The Shiz
Perfume Oil

I'm not a fan of perfume oil. I prefer a spray perfume. Plus, this scent isn't me at all. It's woodsy with top notes of maple leaves, dawn blossom, laural, and clove. This little guy will be gifted to someone who will give it a better home.

Overall, I'm really pleased with this sampler box. For less than $20, it was a great deal to try new products. I can't wait to get more boxes in the future! Plus, the $10 gift code doesn't hurt. I'll be using it towards some body wash or whipped cream. There are two scents that I just have to try: Polyjuice Potion and Butterbeer. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so I think those will be winners for me.

  1. These sound great! I've only ordered from Fortune Cookie Soap once but I loved everything that I got. My favorite was the In The Loop soap and spray, which smells exactly like fruit loops, and the limited edition Christmas soap, Tangle In The Tinsel. I wish they would bring it back. It smells like pink sugar to me which is one of my favorite scents. I'm kind of obsessed with body products from places like this and stores on Etsy but I'm on a no buy since I have too much stuff. I definitely want to order from them again in the future. I've also had my eye on the Harry Potter and the Candy Aisle collection.

  2. I love Lush, so I wasn't sure if this would do it for me. I was pleasantly surprised. I currently have the two HP scented body washes in my cart. I'm trying to decide what else to add on. :)

  3. I love Lush too! I have a box of their soaps and other things that I need to use. If you like them, you should also try out Moon's Harvest. I found out about them through a review from someone that I follow. They offer a lot of products like bath bombs, bath melts, scrubs, hair products, etc. I love them! They have such a huge list of scents and their products are pretty affordable.

  6. I hope you love it! I really like the whipped cream, but I never use up stuff like that. Part of it always goes to waste.
