Philly Loves Lacquer - Summer Down the Shore Collection

Press Sample

Hey, babes! Since Memorial Day is the unofficial kickoff for summer, I thought it would be fitting to share Philly Loves Lacquer's newest collection with you! Summer Down the Shore is inspired by Esther the creator's childhood memories of summers spent at the Jersey Shore. This trip down memory lane is a beautiful tribute to various places along the beach. Check out all the good stuff after the jump!

Love Those Wildwood Days

creamy sky blue
scattered holographic

Love Those Wildwood Days

two coats
one coat topcoat

Love Those Wildwood Days

Two easy and creamy coats. This polish is a little on the thick side so I'd suggest letting it dry a few minutes before applying the second coat. I finished this off with topcoat to really let the scattered holo shine through.

Love Those Wildwood Days

The holo sparkle is quite pretty in this. It's subtle, but noticeable in average lighting. In sunny conditions, it's super bright. The perfect sky blue!

Under the Boardwalk

medium dark gray creme
purple to blue flakey shimmer

Under the Boardwalk

two coats
one coat topcoat

Under the Boardwalk

Two flawless coats with a great dry time and this one's good to go. Top it off with a high shine topcoat and get ready to stare at your nails.

Under the Boardwalk

The flakey shimmer in this is awesome! It's mainly purple, but it also shines blue because of the darkened gray base. This is my favorite polish from the collection. I wore it for a few days and didn't have any chips or peeling. Perfect formula!

Watch the Tram Car, Please

bright yellow crelly
matte and neon blue glitters
stars, hexes, bars, and squares
tiny holo sparkle

Watch the Tram Car, Please

three coats
one coat topcoat

Watch the Tram Car, Please

This crelly was a bit on the sheer side because it's yellow. No worries though! It built up nicely in three coats. If you want, you could layer this over an opaque base. The glitter payoff was nice and a bit of topcoat glossed it over nicely.

Watch the Tram Car, Please

I know a lot of you out there don't care for bar glitter, but this one is different. They're so tiny that they don't stick out or curl. I love this type of bar glitter. There's just enough.

Meet Me at Morey's

clear base
glitter mix of over 100 different colors and shapes

Meet Me at Morey's

two coats over Essie Strut Your Stuff
one coat topcoat

Meet Me at Morey's

This glitter topper is jam packed with so many different colors and shapes. I used two easy coats for a great payoff. A bit a topcoat did the trick to smooth it over.

Meet Me at Morey's

As you can see, this is crazy. With such a vast glitter mix like this, I'm going to assume that each bottle will vary. I'm completely okay with that. You'll never have the same look twice.

Wildwoods By the Sea

darkened seafoam green
scattered holographic

Wildwoods By the Sea

two coats
one coat topcoat

Wildwoods By the Sea

The formula of this is very similar to Love Those Wildwood Days. I used two coats and waited about five minutes before applying the second coat. A bit of topcoat and it was perfect.

Wildwoods By the Sea

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of teal shades. This is my second favorite from the collection. It's a great pedicure color!

Island Beach

sandy beige
scattered holographic

Island Beach

three coats
one coat topcoat

Island Beach

Three thin coats built up nicely to give this look. The formula wasn't was thick as the first two creamy holos in the collection. Topcoat finished it off nicely.

Island Beach

I wasn't sure about this shade, but I like it a lot. This is a neutral that would work on so many skintones. I think it's universally flattering.

On the Way to Cape May

strawberry red jelly
red and silver flakey shimmer
fine silver shimmer

On the Way to Cape May

three coats
one coat topcoat

On the Way to Cape May

I used three thin coats to get this opaque. The formula wasn't too thin or too thick. It was a breeze to apply and only needed a bit of topcoat.

On the Way to Cape May

The red base completely transforms the flakes and shimmer in this. It can read orange, pink, red, and silver depending on the light. Really cute!

Absecon

light grayed out blue
linear holographic

Absecon

two coats
one coat topcoat

Absecon

This was a bit on the thicker side, but I didn't have any problems with application. Just be sure to wait in between coats or you'll experience dragging. Patience is everything. Topcoat finished it off perfectly.

Absecon

The holographic effect is stronger in this polish than the other holos. It's stunning in person and I can't say I have anything else like it. It's so dainty. Definitely in my top three from the collection.
