Above the Curve - Power to the Polish Peeps Collection

Press Sample

Above the Curve is a wife and husband duo who works together to create polish for a cause. $1 (or more!) for every bottle sold is donated to charity. I think this is an awesome practice and I'm extremely excited to work with them.

For today's post, I have four of the seven polishes from the Power to the Polish Peeps collection. The spring 2014 collection contains three shimmery cremes and four milky glitters. I'm not a fan of Peeps candy. Now, this collection is a different story, though. Read on for all the details...

This One's For My Peeps!

dusty lavender creme
blue micro flakies
fine holo and silver shimmer

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

This One's For My Peeps!

The formula had a great consistency and was super easy to work with. I used two coats to get this look. It had a quick dry time and needed just one coat of topcoat to gloss it over.

This One's For My Peeps!

From a distance, this polish doesn't look like much. With a little closer look, it's awesome! It has a great shimmer in real life. The blue flakies give it depth, too. This is my favorite of the group!

Peeps, Love, & Happiness

soft blue crelly
various color/size hexes and circles
various color large daisies
fine holo shimmer

three coats
one coat Gelous
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Peeps, Love, & Happiness

I used three coats to achieve opacity. The base has a nice squishiness to it, but the glitter was hard to get out. I think it's safe to say that it's just because of my mini sized bottle. I poured some out and there was a ton of glitter in it. I used Gelous and topcoat since the daisies stick up just a bit. Better safe than sorry!

Peeps, Love, & Happiness

There are lots of different glitters in this so each nail will look completely different. The tiny pastel hexes are my favorite part. It reminds me of the robin's egg malted milk balls that my mom used to get every Easter.

Peepers Creepers

pastel mint green creme
subtle blue green shimmer
fine holo shimmer

two coats
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Peepers Creepers

Two easy coats and this baby was good to go. I had zero application issues and only used one swipe of topcoat to finish it off.

Peepers Creepers

For the life of me, I couldn't get the blue and green shimmer to show up on camera. I really like this one. It's my second pick!

Twin Peeps

pale pink crelly
various color/size hexes and circles
pink butterflies
blue stars
silver holo moons

three coats
one coat Gelous
one coat Rica Glossy Glam

Twin Peeps

This built up nicely with three coats. It was nearly opaque in two, but I used another to get some extra glitters out. I have the same problem as I did with PL&H. Again, I'm certain it was my mini bottle. I used Gelous and topcoat to smooth over the larger glitters.

Twin Peeps

There are lots of glitters in this one, too! I tried so hard to get a lot out and it figures the mini bottle laughed in my face and spit them all up at once. That's what happened with this nail.

The name on this one is my favorite!
