Coffee Shop Cutie - OOTD

Hey, babes! Here's my first unofficial official outfit of the day post! I'm still trying to figure out all the settings on my camera, and I'm waiting for my tripod to get here. I took these pictures the other night while I was waiting on the mister to get changed so we could leave. Don't mind my undecorated office. I'm a terrible procrastinator.

Anyway, I wore this little ditty to see City and Colour. I feel like I don't have enough chances to really take this dress out of my closet even though it's my favorite piece of clothing that I own. Don't judge the title of the post. I only used it because that's the style of the dress.

Check out all the outfit deets under the cut.

Dress:
ModCloth
Size 3X

Cropped Cardigan:
Old Navy
Size XL

Belt:
Asos

Size EE

Flats:
Payless

I love this dress to pieces. It's a heavier polyester fabric similar to vintage dresses I've seen in smaller sizes. I'm typically a 26/28, but the ModCloth description said this ran large in the waist. It fits me perfectly. I'm about 5'8" and was hoping for it to be a little longer; I expected the waist to not hit me so high. I almost went up a size, but didn't want it to be too big under the arm. (That's a huge pet peeve of mine.)

If you haven't tried We Love Colors tights yet, what are you waiting for? They're my favorite! I've had this pair for over a year and they're still in great condition. I was a bit hesitant at first, but they're well worth it. I love that they don't have a control top (gross!) and they're super opaque.

Can we just take a few minutes to appreciate my hair? I bought a ConAir Curl Secret a few months ago and I absolutely love it! It only took me about 20 minutes to curl my hair like this. How awesome is that? Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing a full review for it.

Since this is my first OOTD post, please be nice! Did you enjoy this post? Is there anything I should add to it? Let me know what you think in the comments!

  1. I love your dress. Am going to have to check out that store. (I typically wear longer skirts, though.)

  2. I'm the opposite. I feel odd if my skirts and dresses are below my knees by too much. I really like ModCloth so far. It really helps to read the customer reviews!

  14. Thank you! I really love WLC tights. I have about six pair and I'm due to order more soon. I'm thinking dark red would be versatile.

  18. Cute dress! I like how it has horizontal stripes across the bust, then go vertical along the rest of the dress.
