Leopard Print Nail Art

Here goes nothing! This is my first attempt at leopard print nail art. I received a wonderful Valentine's package from my love Karly from Legendary Lacquers. Inside was so many wonderful gifts. She sent me my first Sation polish! I've had Oh My Oceania on my wishlist for quite awhile. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to use it. I wanted to make this a Valentine's manicure but I couldn't make the hearts look right. I opted for a regular leopard print.

Base: Sation Oh My Oceania
Leopard Print: China Glaze Purple Panic and Sally Hansen White Tip

Oh My Oceania is a beautiful aqua with a blue flash. The formula was a bit on the thick side, but completely workable. It was completely opaque in two coats, but dries to a bit of a matte finish. It was nothing top coat couldn't fix.

For the nail art, I used a dotting tool. I first started with random splotches of Purple Panic. After letting them dry, I added the white accents. I was pretty apathetic about the look until I added top coat. It really made a difference! If I had China Glaze Fairy Dust, I would have used it as well. Who doesn't like sparkles?

I'll only get better with practice, right?
