Color Club Halo Hues: Halo-Graphic

Have you gotten your hands on the Color Club Halo Hues yet? If not, get them as soon as possible. They're absolutely perfect in every way. A friend of mine was awesome enough to snag them for me at $5 a pop. You have no idea how giddy I was!

The first I have to show you is Halo-Graphic. This polish is a light holographic purple. As a base, I used Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator. It applied like a dream. I used two coats for these pictures, but easily could have used one if I were in a hurry. The dry time was good, but I always use a fast dry top coat. Seche Vite didn't dull the holo goodness at all.

The pictures above were taken in my bathroom lighting. Even at night the holo shines brightly. I was amazed by the effect, but knew it would be even better in sunlight.

Was I right or was I right? I told you it was even better in sunlight. Look at those babies shine!

Blurred to showcase the rainbow.

I wore this manicure for two days with very minor tip wear. I was very pleased with how well it held up. I work two 12 hours shifts without a chip. At the end of the second shift, I wanted something new. I didn't want to go through all the work of a new manicure so I tried a holo gradient. Unfortunately, I only have one suitable photo of it.

This gradient was truly stunning in real life. I used Blue Heaven and Angel Kiss with a torn up makeup sponge. Simple and quick.  I'd post more pictures, but my hands were extremely dry after working a third long shift. The icing on the cake was the break.

Half way through my workday, this happened. Fortunately, it didn't hurt a bit. As soon as it happened, I grabbed my nail file from my purse. I was pretty bummed by my newly filed nubbin. As you can see, my cuticles were a bit dry.

Sorry for such a long post. I thought this manicure's journey was worth an entry.

What's your favorite holographic polish right now?
